The HP OfficeJet pro 8720 all-in-one printer is among the biggest A4 inkjet all-in-one models in the market. HP designed this multi-functional printer for small busy offices. The printer supports both wired and wireless networking, and it includes a USB host port for direct printing and scanning. The HP 8720  machine prints at a speed of up to 24 pages per minute for black A4 documents and 20 pages per minute for color. The paper tray holds 250 sheets, but you can upgrade it to hold up to 500 sheets. This printer supports Automatic Duplex for print, scan, copy, and fax features. HP made an upgrade to this printer by installing a touchscreen control.

Design

HP designed the Pro 8720 model with soft and friendly edges. The edges are smooth with slight angles that give the device of a beautiful look for conventional office equipment. The matte, off-white body with a slate-grey, is elegant and smudge resistant. The paper tray of this printer opens from the front, and it adjusts according to the stock size. With the HP Pro 8720, you can print on paper and envelopes up to legal size. The 4.3-inch touchscreen is easy to use and very responsive.

Set-up

Even with its massive design of 19.7 x 17.7 x 13.4 inches (H x W x D) design, the HP Pro 8720 is easy to set up. If you follow the instructions manual, the process of removing it from the box to printing your test page will take you about 25 minutes. The printer comes with a CD that contains all the software you need, especially if you do have an internet connection.

Quality

The HP Officejet Pro 8720 aio delivers vibrant and consistent colors when printing. The printer is fast since it delivers black documents at a rate of 21.4 ppm and 8.6 ppm for color prints. The printer produces crisp and dark texts, and the graphics are also durable. Photocopy quality is also high. A single mono copy takes about 14 seconds, while a color copy requires 90 seconds. The scan performance is also impressive, with a 300 dpi A4 scan taking 9 seconds.

Connectivity

This multi-functional printer supports wireless, USB, Ethernet, and NFC connections. This printer also supports direct printing from a USB stick, but only for photos.
